A Little Late....
Who would have thought that time would fly by so quickly eh? Wasnt it just yesterday that I remember you being born, and handing you over to your mom and dad? Where do the years go?
It really does seem like the years have flown by- or perhaps its not wanting to admit that I too am getting older. I still feel at times like the 19 year old that handed you over to the social worker after spending 3 whole days as your "mom". Never will I forget the following weeks and months where I would be heartbroken but it was your mother that kept me afloat. She would call, send pictures- and I would have the opportunity to see you when I could. It was in these early years- that your mom became one of my best friends. I remember one trip that my dad flew you out to see me- in which I took you to Grandma Kathryns in CO. I know you dont remember that trip - you were only 15 months maybe? I remember having to fly with you, alone of course, and with all your stuff. No one told me how much stuff you have to take when flying with a baby! I was looking pretty overwhelmed im sure as many folks offered their assistance. However you were completely unfazed. You were incredible that whole trip and it was a memory that I cherished for years to come.
Another time was when your parents came to utah and let me have you for a few days- again you must have been 2 or so? I was in a tiny little apt and you had to sleep on the couch. I remember you calling out for your mom a few times, and I thought its okay- I can handle it...then you stopped calling for your mom. You started to call "Amee, Amee" and my heart couldnt take it and I brought you to bed with me.
You have had a wonderful family- a sister who adores you and always has. I have a collection of photos of Chloe holding a willful Noel in various stages of your life. You were doted on, and given everything I could have hoped for.
There was a time when I was pregnant with Elijiah you said that you hoped it was a boy, as you wanted to be my only girl.( I think you have cursed me!) But later said that you just hoped you wouldnt be replaced....Oh Noellie.
Later you realized how much your brothers adore you. Look up to you, and miss you. They look forward to every call, and visit and are equally as sad when you leave.
King Pawn Utah
For without him( and the rest of our parents) this past weekend would have been a nightmare( more than it was). My father is the KING of packing. Really. There isnt anyone else better out there. One of many fine attributes my dad has.
His store is open in Riverton and has taken off. He is busy from early in the morning till late at night, and I am amazed at all he and his partner have accomplished in a short amount of time. This new chapter in life for him is a departure from his old career, but I hope its just as rewarding and fulfilling. I cant tell him enough how proud I am of the risk he and Nancy have taken and I wish them great success.
Now if you are looking to sell something, or heck do some browsing with some local artists( my friend Monica is showcasing some of her photographs as well) and jewlery makers, stop in, say hi and grab some fabulous stuff!
Thank you Dad - again for always being there to lend a hand when needed. Love you!

Its Round Up Time
However I can never pass up the opportunity to spend some one on one time with my gorgeous hubby. I love date nights. Hanging out with my best friend is always top on the list and re-invigorates us due to our long weeks without seeing each other much.

Happy Birthday Elijiah!
You continue to be the best brother I could ask for. I know Tristan is hard, and very demanding. I know especially this year has been tough with the changes, my health, going between two houses, and dealing with all that you do. I am so happy to see how Tristans eyes light up every day when he sees you. That when we drop you off, and you forget to give Tristan a kiss he cries and calls your name, saying "bye" over and over again. He looks to you for guidance and love, fun and caring- and when you WANT to you are the BEST big brother.
Do you remember the other day? The day when we were outside with Tristan and you said to me" MOM- I know what my purpose is in life? I do....its to be the best brother in the world."
You have many people in your life that look out for you, love you and care for you. You constantly remain a peacekeeper. You are wise beyond your years.

I became her today
Well upon picking Elijiah up from Extended day and Tristan is running in the gym screaming, and me running after him only to succeed in grabbing one arm- my hair is flying every which way...the teacher came up and said:
"You look like you have had a tough day...we have some left over soup from lunch and its yours if you want it..."
In the space of one second before I could answer and million things went through my mind such as: - I cant believe Im THAT mom!
- Ive offered to help countless times and now someone is offering to help me...do I take it? I dont really need the help..but that might be nice, not to cook tonight or have something for lunch tomorrow, would it seem rude to decline?
So I say:
"Sure that would be wonderful. Thank you so much for thinking of me."
After taking the soup and heading home, Tristan yelling and telling me "NO" for the hundredth time today, all I can think about is warming up that soup...putting bugs to bed and curling up to read my book.
Yes its been one of those days.

Pioneer Woman Night
Emily was still game to wait with me and catch some photos so after the q & a session we waited outside for 90 minutes - talking and catching up. In addition to taking some photos ( which you will be able to see on her blog when she posts them) It was a wonderful surprise to run into the author of "dooce" Heard of HER? She is a very well known and famous blogger in her own right. She walked right by us and Emily turns and says "DOOCE"! and starts talking to her as if shes known her forever! We got some photos of us with her as well- lots of fun. Anyway so once my letter was called Emily came right along and we were able to chat with Missy- Ree's sister in law for a second....and FINALLY get up to PW for the signing. I was a little star struck, as reading about a perfect stranger everyday and finally meeting them is a bit odd. You know so much about them, but they know NOTHING about YOU! All in all a fun night, although I couldnt believe the crowds and definitely would have worn tennis shoes!
And this is Missy- Ree's sister in law- it was funny I was texting Jonathan and Missy took my picture as I was looking up and making a funny face- I said" Its YOU! Missy! I have to take your picture!" She so kindly posed! fun stuff.
