Corys Weekend- Sat

Okay so Josh (whitneys hubby) has started to do some races in GA and thought that it would be fun for him, mom and I to run in a 5k this weekend. So thats what we did. We got up on Saturday morning really early to register for the race and it turned out to be a lot of fun. Im certainly not in the best shape considering how often I run, but we all did pretty well. Im not sure the total # of participants in the race...I was #83 I think, but get this-----MOM was the first woman crossing the finish line in the WHOLE race. She is 55 years young. My mom ROCKS! She not only continues to kick my A$$ but from the looks of the race all the ladies. Shes my hero. Anyway the official standings were: MOM first overall. First in age. ME- 2nd in age group 31-49. Josh 3rd in Age group 31 and younger. So guys whens the next one???

Tristans 2nd Tooth

Came in on Saturday. My my....lets see sitting up by himself. Also is on all fours and rocking a bit but always falls on his face :) So we think crawling is just around the corner. Im hoping it will take a while because I know once he gets going I wont be able to leave him for a second!

Also this weekend my sisters both flew in and Corys farewell was on Sunday. Lots of details and pictures to follow.

Flashback Friday

GRR, so I decided to pick this theme up for a few weeks and I had a bunch of old photos uploaded to our computer and when posting them- the pictures are all upside down, OR turned to the side. Jonathan tried messing with the code, and resaving them - but alas. Nothing has worked. So until we can figure out whats going on with the picture upload...here a quote that a friend sent to me today.

Kindergarten Work

Ive decided to take pictures and upload Elijiahs kindergarten work to showcase not only his incredible art, but so I dont have piles of papers being collected and no where to put them. I took a few snapshots and here you go!( Elijiah dont worry- Ill do this from time to time and I wont forget! )

Cute Girls!

As I was driving Elijiah to school today our route takes us right past East High School. Due to the student parking lot across the street, the students have pass over 13 East and needless to say its very busy. Because of traffic, students have to wait a long period of time to cross, and because of that, perhaps hundreds of students take the cross walk when possible. As we were at the stoplight waiting, and the kids were walking, Elijiah says
" Man shes cute!!"
"What???"
"Yeah mom shes pretty!"
"Which one?"
"The one with the blue back pack with darkish hair- see her?"
No I didnt- there were so many of them.
"wow Elijiah I didnt realize you noticed those things..."
"Yup I do!"
"MMMM so do you have any cute girls in your KINDERGARTEN class?"( please say yes, whats up with his older woman facination????)
"Nah"
"OH, well tell me then, who else do you think is cute? What about your sisters?"
"MMMMMM"
"what about mommy? do you think I am cute??"
"MMMMMMM"
"Okay then you dont think we are cute...can you think of anyone else?"
"Nope- just the girl with the blue backpack"

I wish I had seen the elusive girl with the blue back pack...maybe he can point her out tomorrow. I have a feeling my boy will have many many crushes in his future.
