Elijiah is 13!

Elijiah Officially a TEENAGER! Oh man…what the next few years have in store is slightly daunting and a little scary for me…but Ill cross my fingers that you will continue on the path you are on…which lets be honest…is a remarkable one. You this last year have grown a ton…I think you sit at 5’7.5 or maybe your 5’8 now? LOL. I am sure this next year will see you surpassing me in height. We moved in to our new home and like always you took it like a champ. The time you spend is always sporadic back and forth between your dad and I and I know without a doubt it’s a challenge. The sports you participate in make it slightly more challenging but we do the best we can. So Mr Elijiah…my darling darling boy. We had a great year…another 4.0. Basketball, Soccer 4-5 times a week. Canada vacation, basketball tourney. It seems like the last few years have just been a continuation of the good stuff. You are such a kind loving sweet young man. Birthday this year was Airsoft…you just always make me smile, love our runs, playing soccer together, your old enough to babysit Whoot whoot…and your first crush! Adorable. I think you are over it in a official capacity but still friends. You are so considerate and kind and I am just so excited to be apart of your growing up! Your sister getting married and the distance between you two now has been hard on you, ( as with the rest of the fam) and I know that is something heavy around the house, however you keep your chin up regarding most things and keep going. Its what I love about your personality. You can get down, but you keep plugging along. It’s a wonderful quality. Elijiah – thank you for being who you are, the example you set, the kind, thoughtful, loving big brother and hard worker. I cant wait to see what this year brings. Xoxo mom

Sept- Monthly recap

Its been a great month. From soccer starting, date nights and date days with the boys, to being outside and enjoying the weather its been good. We are a month into school and both boys are doing great. Tristan has started piano lessons and joined a Chess club. Hes still doing ju-jitsu, and playing non stop with friends every chance he gets. We are making progress on many fronts and the school situation has worked out better than hoped. Hes challenged, learning, small class, and spending more time with me so all around a win win. - Elijiah got braces on, tried out for Basketball and is on the team again, soccer season started, juggling all his activities like a charm. Hes been our go to babysitter as we have had some fun date nights, Provo concert series as we caught someone I adore ( KasKade), and as little time as Jonathan and I get together we snag what we can. Jett is a trouble maker x 10. Not sleeping in his room, staying up late, becoming quite independent and starting to potty train himself. Clearly hes got his own agenda. - Jonathans work is going well...he seems to like it and I hope it continues for his sake. Longer hours, more pay, but its helping us achieve our goal to become quickly free of student loan debt. AND I have a 5 year plan for a grand adventure which is very exciting to me. Jonathan hasnt quite gotten himself onboard yet...haha. But Im working on him still. - Life continues to plug away, thankfully everyone is healthy, and having fun.

A few things I want to remember of late *4th of July family hike…finding a lost child *Tristans Jujitsu progress. Hes doing so amazing and Im so proud of him *Tristan and Johnny. This summer will go down as the cousin summer. Hes abandoned all his other friends in favor of Johnny. It’s the sweetest thing but it will break his heart when they go. I love having Reagan and her family around. Its such a great time and I realize a fleeting time to be with them. *Jett…sleeping or lack of. Nightly visits from him and how only the threat of a crib and the crib tent has kept him in his bed after weeks of sleepless nights. ( that and a promise of a TREAT in the am) *Adding Izzie to the family. Shes fun, and adorable. Why a second cat I have no idea but we love her *Summer is flying by without anything really planned. Love and hate that. Looking forward to our family Canada trip soon *All the boys growing like weeds and watching Elijiah the other day walk away from me, and hardly believing he was my baby not that long ago. *nightly runs with Jett. Ive been working out for almost 5 weeks daily…and not really seeing much progress. Grrr. I hope by month 3-4 all this hard work will pay off otherwise I will NEVER work out again. *Work is endless and exhausting. Its making me a bad housewife as I am totally spent when I get home at night. Please no one come over. *Taking stock of our foodstorage and supplies. Wow having a baby really changes the amount of available resources  More buying for us soon. *Trip to San Diego to visit my grandma.
